# Connect Claude or ChatGPT

> Connect Attend to your AI assistant once, then set up and run events by asking in plain English.

Everything in this guide can also be done by asking an AI assistant. Each article ends with a ready-made prompt you can copy and paste. First, connect Attend to the assistant you use.

Your assistant can only see and change what your own Attend login can, and it asks for your approval before making changes.

## The Attend connector address

```text
https://api.attend.vip/mcp
```

## Claude

1. In Claude, open **Settings → Connectors** and choose **Add custom connector**.
2. Name it "Attend" and paste the address above.
3. Select **Connect** and sign in to Attend with your email when asked.

Claude Code users can run `claude mcp add --transport http attend https://api.attend.vip/mcp` instead. See [Run your event with Claude](https://www.attend.vip/claude) for more.

## ChatGPT

1. In ChatGPT, open **Settings → Apps & Connectors** and create a new connector. (Depending on your plan, you may need to turn on **Developer mode** under **Advanced** first.)
2. Name it "Attend" and paste the address above.
3. Select **Create** and sign in to Attend with your email when asked.

## Tips for asking

- **Name the event** in your request, or tell the assistant which one you're working on at the start.
- **Ask for a preview first.** "Show me what you'd change before doing it" works for anything that emails guests or changes many records.
- **Check anything sent to guests.** The assistant can send invites and messages, so review before you confirm.

## Do it with Claude or ChatGPT

With Attend connected (https://www.attend.vip/help/organizers/connect-ai/), paste:

```text
Using Attend, list my organizations and the events in each, with their dates and how many guests are confirmed.
```
